Singapore

Eco Youth Collective provides youth with mentorship, collaboration and learning opportunities to grow their skills and prepare them to embark on their own environmental action journeys.

Example of key projects

With the aim to encourage youth to network and collaborate in bringing change to the environment, Eco Youth Collective works on providing youth with various platforms to share, refine and work on their ideas for environmental action. One of these initiatives is through a mentoring programme, which ultimately ends with a pitching session where youth are given the opportunity to pitch their project ideas to a panel of judges. In 2021, 15 students managed to pitch a total of eight projects in their respective schools. Ultimately, this organization seeks to continuously build the confidence of the youth and provide the right exposure to prepare them to take action in environmental work.

In one of their projects, Savour! managed to reallocate over 5,000 soon-to-expire food products to more than 5,000 migrant workers. To date, they have also achieved more than 3,000 platform listings and have connected with more than 200 merchants and 500 customers through their service.
