Post-COP28 Forum

3 February 2024

The Post COP-28 Forum was hosted by the Malaysian Youth Delegation (MYD) in partnership with Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, and the Youth Environment Living Labs (YELL). The primary objective of the PostCOP28 Forum is to catalyse action and foster collaboration in response to the decisions made at COP28. In particular, the event anchored on 4 main themes from COP28:

  • Global Stocktake (GST)
  • Carbon Markets under Article 6
  • Just Transition
  • Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE)

These themes were identified based on their relevance to the Malaysian delegation at COP28, with MYD’s representatives in particular tracking developments of these four themes at COP28. By providing a platform for indepth analysis and discussion, the forum intends to bridge the gap between international policy decisions and local implementation.
