This gem should stay

By: Nurul Izzati Binti Mohd Khairuzan

Fifteen years apart, the same sungai, but it feels dissimilar at present. Located just in front of my late grandmother’s house, now inherited to pater, soon to one of these smiley faces. Not to deem ahead of its time, but this gem should stay, please God, for the broods from this bloodline, the thrill should hang around.

Curse those at the peak, desirous of the greens. Soon my kids can only dip in the manmade blue-ish loch, filled with chlorine. But hey, it’s better than polluted, untreated river, right?
