Youth Aspirations to Action

Youth Aspirations to Action

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change and the Youth Environment Living Labs, a collaborative initiative by UNDP and UNICEF Malaysia, supported by ALAM, are jointly hosting a youth-led and youth-focused session during the Multi-level Action Day on 9th December 2023 at the COP28 Malaysia Pavilion.

The Youth Aspirations to Action segment aims to highlight the role of young people as champions in the climate movement, especially in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia Region. Three Malaysian-based youth groups (Malaysian Youth Delegation, Youths United for Earth, and Perdana Fellows Alumni Association) have partnered with YELL to deliver an impactful programme and provide a platform for young people to have their voices heard, advocate for their rights to a sustainable environment and reclaim their space at COP28.

The COP28 Youth Aspirations: Youth Aspirations from Malaysia on Climate Action captures the perspectives and insights of the young people in Malaysia on climate action, reflecting a set of recommendations for the attention of policy- and decision-makers.
